President Shapiro explains why Barnard College decided to dispatch four students and two professors to South Africa to provide humanitarian assistance and research.

Dr. Marsha Coleman-Adebayo thanked Barnard College for providing institutional support for vanadium victims.  She explained why she blew the whistle during her tenure at EPA when she learned from Jacob Ngakane about the poisoning of vanadium workers. Her talk was entitled: It’s Time to Tell the Truth!
